Comment: When times like now are happening and lots of hits are coming through on Zone Alarm, I normally unplug the cable on my external modem when not on the computer. It is a Net Mate Link external modem for cable and has an easy access cable like a telephone line. But, does using the 'Stop' feature in Zone Alarm do the same thing and when away, I can use this and will get no hackers in my computer? Thank You

Reply: (edit)Evidently, according to ZA it does function like that. If you read the documentation (Online) for ZA Pro it will allude to that. Try to access the Web with the STOP sign clicked and you will get CANNOT DISPLAY PAGE. But I do wonder about INBOUBD traffic, if it too is STOPPED, completely. The command NETSTAT can be useful as to what's happening at any given minute. But in all reality, physically breaking a connection is most sure method to prevent access.
