Comment:
Hi folks,
I don't have a problem, I'm considering changing things on my home PC and I'd like a second opinion.

At the moment I am running Zone Alarm Pro firewall, with Symantec Antivirus and Windows Defender.
I am considering upgrading to Zone Alarm Security Suite and ditching Symantec/Windows Defender.
Do you think this is a good idea?
Specifically:
1. am I likely to notice any improvement in performance?
2. from a security point of view, would this be at least as good as what I am running now?

Thanks in advance

Steve

Well symantec is a hog so nothing can be any worse than symantec except maybe Mcafee .I just run the free version of ZA and use free AVG AV and have never had a problem and both use low resources .

I have to agree with Vipergg, Dump Symantec
and install something lighter...
I am using Avast pro and a free older version of Zone Alarm...

Thank you both.

I'll probably give it a go over the weekend then.

Does anyone think it would be a bad move to get rid of Windows Defender?

Thanks for that,
we already use ccleaner daily, and regularly run ad-aware SE personal and SD Spybot too.

SpywareTerminator's a new one on me, I'll take a look for it later.
