Comment: So, I set up zone alarm and I have questions on 3 different apps trying to connect to the internet: CC Common Client App Spooler Subsystem App and Wupdater If I don't allow access, everything seems to work fine still. What are these apps and should I permanently disable them from at least the internet? Thanks.

Reply: (edit)Off the top of my head: CC Common Client App - Not sure maybe chaincast? Chaincast is a common radio streaming protocal. Spooler Subsystem App - Required to print since the spooler subsystem is enabled. You could disable it if not required, but it's better to leave it working so you can print multiple documents and files without having to wait for the printer to finish the first job. Wupdater - Windows Updat Client. This allows you to do windows updates via microsofts web site. If it was wupdt.exe then you'd have a virus more likely. HTH, J. j e r u v y a t y a h o o d o t c o m
