i ran symantec security test and zone alarm only failed on browser privacy scan. i then went to another scan site and it failed there on the same thing as well, it suggested that my cookies were being tracked and used by web sites, and my computer was giving information away. is there a way to stop this, by downloading a program or tweaking settings.

If you are using the free version of Zone Alarm there are no privacy settings. You can increase your privacy settings in IE by using tools>internet options>privacy. Be aware that there is a tradeoff, as it makes general websurfing much more difficult, as many sites require some cookie settings. Mrdium High is the highest setting that I like. Any higher becomes a pain, and it is not worth the trouble for me to constantly have to renable things to allow me to see what I want. It is something that each user must decide on though.

M..Go into your ZA Privacy window,Select "Custom" in your Cookie Control, then under 3rd party cookies, enable {check} "remove private header information". That should do it for you.
