Good day. I have been dealing with the zafi.b virus for two days. I think it came from a p2p download. BTW, thanks to the poster who suggested malwarbytes. It was the key getting the system to be able function enough to run av scans which found numerous viruses. My question now is...how do I know the virus is completely gone? Obviously, the computer is working well enough to surf and post and my av prog are up and running(and updated.) How can I tell for sure so that I feel comfortable using it for purchases? I have avg 8.0, avira antivir, trend micro av(which was purchased with the disclaimer that it can specifically get rid of zafi but has not worked since downloading), spybot and the mentioned malwarbytes. A) are those sufficient protection?, B) too much?, C) suggestions for other programs? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.
