Xupiter is off my computer, but when I connect to the net, Internet Explorer does nothing, neither do any of the messengers. I just get a "cannot display page" on Explorer and nothing on the messengers. If I type in www.yahoo.com, the address window changes to http:///?%20www.yahoo.com. I went in and reset web settings and restored my home page, but still nothing. Any ideas or suggestions? I am using Window's XP.

How did you remove xupiter? Spybot- Adaware, registry?

Check this page and see if you still have any of the files it lists left - has manual removal instructions also, in case something is left over that is not obvious.

Thanks suzi, I will try that. Spybot was used to get rid of it, then I tried the manual removal to make sure it was all gone. The files were in Spybot recovery and I deleted all of them. It still will not display any internet traffic. I get nothing. It is definately connecting to the net. Nothing happens when I ping websites either. I will look at doxdesk.com and look to make sure it is all gone.

Another thought - did you have other spyware besides xupiter? If you had new.net, removing it with Spybot without using the unintall first can cause a problem. Post back if you need more help.

Try this Rayne,

In Internet Explorer,go to Tools/Internet Options/Advanced tab,and uncheck "Enable third-party browser extensions (requires restart)".Close all instances of IE,re-launch IE,and re-enable.
