I have a virys on my work LT that is a log on loop. You log on and it goes to what looks like it is going to log in but then logs off and back to the log on screen. I research this and tried the recovery console method but replacing the userinit.exe did not work. So I went out and found out I could try ERD Commander so I found it and have it saved. I need to find out how to put it on a bootable CD so I can try it. Anything will help.
Thanks--Mike

Hi,

So, you can't access at your session ?
With the safe mode, i'ts work ?

Have you disinfected the machine, or the infection is always here ?

Safe mode does not work either, same thing. No way to disinfect cause I can not get in. I'm going to try to do a XP repair and see if that works. I would still like to know how to create a bootable CD with ERD Command though, just in case this does not work.

I think that a reparation with the CD solve the problem.
It's that not the case :

How to Build the Ultimate Boot CD for Windows ?

It's certainly a problem with a corrupt file system : usernit.exe or winlogon.exe.
A Malware like WORMS MSN corrupt registry, with malicious load in this process and/or patch their.

This worked but the wire;ess does not work now. I checked the driver and it says it is working properly. The wireless indicator is on and looks like it is working but does not see any networks and everything is grayed out.

after repairing an OS from virus damage the winsock could be bad.
Try winsockfix and see if that helps. If that doesn't work you can also try LSPfix
