Comment:
My computer has recently gone down the toilet. A few days ago when i started my computer, i logged in as usual, windows was loading but it stopped when the start menu bar was loading. It totally freezes at this point, except i can still move the mouse, like when explorer.exe process is ended.

So i proceeded into starting windows in safe mode, I logged on and found that it does the same thing in safe mode, but in safe mode i can access things for about 15 seconds before it freezes up.

Now i am on the same computer but on a different boot of windows on a different hard drive.

Does anyone know a solution to be able to use the boot of windows that is infected long enough so that i can at least run anti virus/spyware?

I know this isn't explained too well but i can try to explain it in a different way if needed.

Run the scan from your current installation & customize the scan for your infected drive.
