in your router manual there will be instructions on how to set up WEP encryption for your wireless. If you are not using wireless then STOP being PARANOID. NO ONE is going to hack into your pc through the router firewall and steal the contents of your hdd. It is however very likeley that people will access an unsecured wireless network (i do it all the time) so do get WEP set up first thing. If you must get any security software, get mcafee anti virus, or AVG free edition
