Write-protected Trojan can't delete

A Trojan called StartPage-W was found on my hard drive in several different places. VirusScan deleted 2 of them, but several more are write-protected and in a folder on C:\ that I can't find in Windows Explorer. The location, according to VirusScan is "C:\_RESTORE\ARCHIVE\". Because they are write-protected, VirusScan can't clean, delete, or quarantine them. What can I do?

Snick57, You must disable System Restore, restart your computer, then run the virus scan and it should come up clean. Disabling System Restore purges (removes/deletes) all your System Restore files including any virus/trojan files. After you do the above Enable System Restore again. Here's a link to help you.
