Write Protected USB

Specs: Windows XP
Well it is so bad that my USB can't use/perform it with me now because of the write protected..
and even i format it, it's useless!

Can somebody help me, regarding to my problem?

'cause i madly need it so badly..!

Buy a new one, and never use it for storing important files.
They are intended only for short-term storage, like transferring files between two computers.

you could try the following.

look for a switch on the side of the usb drive(just in case you clicked it accidentally)

open a command prompt and type

xcopy f:\*.* c:\usb1\

see if it copies all your files to that directoryc:\usb1, and if they are openable.

(f stands for whatever the drive letter of the usb is so if its g it would be g:\)

if it doesnt let me know
