You are going to have to use hijackthis available from;

http://216.180.233.162/~merijn/downloads.html

I use Kaspersky and F-Secure on my systems and never have had the problem. What are you doing to get infected?

Nothing in the HT log.

Run this free online scan from Panda

When the scan completes, if anything malicious is detected, click the See Report button, then Save Report and save it to the desktop, then copy/paste into the text editor and post it.

Download Ewido Security Suite then set it up this way Ewido Setup Instructions reboot into Safe Mode and run Ewido

When the scan has completed, Ewido will create a report.txt file. Click the "Save Report" button on the bottom of the screen and save the log to your desktop.

Please reboot into normal mode and post the Ewido and Panda logs.

Thanks a lot jabuck! I really appreciate it. I did not see anything either, but I hate analysing the logs for other people. It seems like I get most of the items, but seem to miss an item sometimes. I think it is due to my old eyes and brain!

thanks for all the help, i scanned it with ewido it found nothing, xosoft seems to be the only thing that detects it, any way this is the worms?? mirar>>contentmatch.net
mirar>>net-nucleus.com.
found them in the registry
software\microsoft\windows\currentversion\internetsettings\zonemapdomains\contentmatch.net
as above \net-nucleus.com

the actual programs hide in C: where this is your hard drive
C:\WINDOWS\COUNTRY.exe
C:\WINDOWS\UNIQ
THEY APPEAR TO BE ONLY IN THE REGION OF 24KB IN SIZE hope this helps others and again i thank all the above for their help and advice and most of all patience

Download killbox from this link Killbox
Double-click on Killbox.exe to run it.
Put a tick by Standard File Kill.
In the "Full Path of File to Delete" box, copy and paste each of the following lines one at a time.

C:\WINDOWS\COUNTRY.EXE

Click on the button that has the red circle with the X in the middle after you enter each file.
It will ask for confimation to delete the file.
Click Yes.
Continue with that procedure until you have pasted all of these in the "Paste Full Path of File to Delete" box.

Could you run the panda scan and post it's log.
