Comment: I have a problem with the Rtc(remote procedure call) whitch is shutting down my computer, althought I know how to stop it from exiting windows(start->run, type: shutdown /a) I still can't open the "running processes" window(ctrl+alt+del) and the norton antivirus and firewall programs can not be started(starts but is shut down again). Ill try to get info about my running processes, to see if anyone recognizes a virus/worm among them. Plz help me I depend on my computer..

Reply: (edit)Looks like you have the blaster worm or some other variant of the same monster. Network associates (mcaffee) has a little removal tool in their site....it's free...put on floppy and unplug your PC from the network, then try logging in safe mode, and run the scan utility. Hope it helps...
