Comment:

If you use a "wipe and delete" program to remove deleted files, can Windows XP be restored to a previous date (before the installation of the pragram)to retrieve those wiped files?
For example, I have wiped my computer of old files. I would like to know if someone could restore my computer to an older date and view what I have "wiped"? Thanks again.
P.S. If i am not posting to the correct forum please let me know! Thank you!

Using a "wipe and delete" (secure file deletion?) program to securely remove old files and documents should render the files / documents irretrievable.

A restore to a previous point will not reinstall any securely deleted files or documents.

Although... A little know how and / or computer forensics might be able to retrieve securely deleted files. Secure deletion simply makes the process trickier.
