My computer too slow in process

when try to open any progmme like word or photoshop or notepad... etc
right click to any option in windows
change any settings
its take 30 seconds or more and that always when im enable my NIC card
when im disable everything be not soo good but more fast than when the NIC is disable
im run norton corpoate editio v9.0.0.338
nd have full update but not no virus found
some time im get W32.Fujacks.L but norton quarantine it and scan through spybot ( fully update too) and he found many problem and fix it ) but nothing happen is still slow
i cant open regedit of msconfig cuz always
give me that regedit cannot foud by windows
and msconfig too
my account is administrator of this machine
and any scan im do it before im disable systme restore
any one can help me at all plzzz hel[ slowing make me soo badd

Yea! your computer needs more ram,I would do a google search for your make and model Pc for memory and see how much more you can add.
512 would be a big improvement,768 would be better. Also get rid of Norton, Norton will drain your resources ..

256Mb is 'ok' for XP, and shouldn't be slowing down a simple app like Notepad - more intensive programs such as Photoshop (or Norton) would be a different story

It's not clear from your post if you are suffering from malware or a settings or hardware issue. You may wish to attempt an online scan, such as Panda's or Housecall etc
