Specs: Windows XP
Good morning, I have just turned on my DELL XPS400 Desktop To find out my monitor is blinking. While it is blinking i'm unable to click on anything, the blinking is consistent and blinks every 1-2 seconds. I have recently had problems with Trojan,Malware, and a Rogue Virus.I was running a free version of AVG prior to this and looks like all hell broke loose so I baught Bit Defender2010 running that now. When I enter safe mode w/networking the blinking is gone, what can be done to address this issue.Any feedback is appreciated,Thanks.

Upon running a thorough Deep system scan with Bit Defender it's still happening. The most bothersome part is I can't open any of my webpages, tried Mozilla and E-explorer to no avail.

It might be your graphics card or monitor, that could be the cause of the problem but you've said that once you enter safe mode the problem stops..I would check the device manager by going to Control Panel > Performance & Maintenance > System > Hardware > Device Manager and looking for any errors. Another option to try is to run diagnostics by following the tutorial here: As for the viruses, have you tried scanning with Malware Bytes?: , and with the previous malware you had, or currently have, what do/did the pop ups say?.. Examples: Antivirus Suite 2010, Trojan Vundo, etc.
