Ive already done the updates but I wonder why my firewall poped up with trying to connect to "windowsupdate sp2" if that update isn't suppose to be until August. My IE already shows SP2.

My internet explorer shows sp2 also. Under where it says update versions it says sp1 and four Q0000000 numbers. I suppose the full version of sp2 and all updates it will incur will be in August.

You don't have to check every day because Ms are only releasing Critical Updates on the second Tuesday of each Month now - unless something urgent crops up in between
