When I view Windows Task Manager I notice 2 iexplore.exe image names. Is that normal? If not, what can I do to correct the issue? Thanks in advance.

I use Firefox too. Nice browser but I don't see it as a fix for your double entry problem.

I have never run into more than one iexplore.exe in task manager and would suspect malware or a keylogger.

Until someone comes along who is more expert on security matters than I, try running Malwarebytes and see if that unearths anything.

Mavis007. I don't really think thats likely - they'll still be lurking there ;)

Another thought while you are waiting. Do a search for iexplore.exe and see how many you can find on your machine. Ignore any in the following folders:

C:\Windows\ie7
C:\Windows\Prefetch (part of file name)
C:\Windows\ie7updates
C:\Windows\ServicePackFiles
C:\Windows\$hf_mig$
Also ignore the file iexplore.exe.mui in the en-US sub-folder of C:\Program Files\Internet Explorer.

This should only leave the one which runs, which is in
C:\Program Files\Internet Explorer

EDIT: The underlines in this post are put in by this website.
