When I start up my computer a pop up comes up saying welcome to windows and you must sign in a password or just click cancel to get Windows to start up. How do I get rid of this pop up so window will just start on its own. Jim

There also something in the "Howtos" on the left of this page (How To Disable Logon at Startup).

Uhm, having no password on your user account is a huge security risk. I suggest you keep the password enabled and change it to a long series of numbers and letters, write it down on paper and keep it in your desk drawer on notebook or something. Do not store it on your PC. If you disable the password, don't come to forums crying because a hacker wiped your HD in your sleep.
