CPU/Ram: 512 mb
Model/Manufacturer: HP DV1000

Hi in the last one week my computer has become very slow in starting up, i suspect a virus, it takes 30 minutes for my machine to start, i run a virus update, scanned it but no virus was detected, i also run a disk defrag,but no luck,its taking toooo long please help!!!!

why know it all!!!!

It sounds like you might have some extra stuff loading up when you start your pc. Click the Start Button and then select run. In that box type in msconfig.

That brings up a new box so you can select the startup tab. There it shows what is starting up at boot. You can uncheck the ones you don't want. Just make sure you don't remove anything that you need for the computer to run.
