Windows Security center demand $29 for code

Specs: Windows Vista, 3GB
a window by windows security center keeps popping up as soon as i get connected to the internet and the whole screen s gone except the background and the window. it says" your system has been attacked"
also asks to click here and open a site where i need to pay $29 and then take a code to fill in a space on the same window to save all my files from getting deleted. but that site doesnt open up.

That is a virus. there are many ones out there now that disguise themselves as anti virus programs. You're lucky the site didn't open up and asked for your credit card number. You could pretty much expect your bank account to be emptied.

Try downloading one of the free antivirus programs such as Avast and see if that will remove the nasty from your system.

because you clicked on the link on your desktop you probably installed an unwanted rootkit.
