Hi there. Can anyone pls enlighten me on what's happening to my external HDD? I got this virus infrom.exe from a friend's desktop. Because his computer has AVG free edition, the virus was identified and healed. Normally there would be an autoplay when i connect my ext HDD to a USB port but when i did that at my desktop, there was no autoplay. Then i tried opening it through My Computer but something appear which says that windows cannot find infrom.exe, this program is needed for opening files of type "File". The same problem surfaced when i connected it to my notebook. That problem only occurs to my ext HDD drive(H:) but not the other drives.
Is it because of the aftermath of the infrom.exe or the virus has corrupted my ext HDD? Would appreciate greatly if someone can help!!!
Derek: I have run an AVG scan on my ext HDD drive but there is no threat found.
Tufenuf: I tried using the website u gave me to restore AUTORUN.INF, but it doesn't work because my windows cannot find the file AUTORUN.INF in the ext HDD itself.
Nevertheless. Thanks for your help and would be glad if u all can still follow up!
