windows activation virus

December 7, 2010 at 08:10:26
Specs: Windows Vista

I have a trojan/virus on my PC that says my copy of Windows isn't genuine and that I need to enter in my product key to reactivate it. It's pretty convincing, comes up all the time. I've run AVg and Avast, Epsisoft and Housecall and they haven't detected it.
What can I do? I am totally inept with these things as it is.
Please help!

my PC that says my copy of Windows isn't genuine and that I need to enter in my product key to reactivate it.

1- was that an upgrade or did your PC come with vista?
2- What brand & model is the PC?
3- PC or Laptop?

1 - I think my computer came with Vista?
2- it's a HP Pavilion Entertainment PC
3- laptop

UPDATE: I scanned with Housecall/Trend Micro fully and it found 2 trojans. I 'fixed' them, but it's still there.
help! :(

Your post is confusing, you say vista was insralled and under your specs it says windows 7
Did you upgrade to windows 7?
