Comment: Has anyone come across the WIN32 Acebot.B.Worm? I can't find any reference to this virus anywhere. It is infecting KFTPB.exe in the Systems folder. My Inocculate Anti virus won't cure it and I am reluctant to delete the file until I know what it is. Any ideas what the virus is ans what this file might be?

Reply: (edit)Mike, I believe it is a Klez variant. Search for wink files to confirm it. If you see wink files there several Klez removal tools, the best is from Symantec. Another opption is to try Solo from www.srnmicro.com on a trial and it will detect and clean it. Is the file quarantined, and not repairable? Has your antivirus/firewall software been disabled? All the best!

Reply: (edit)Thanks I have managed to repair the file so hopefully no damage done. Firewall was disabled whilst I did some maintenance and forgot to re -enable it! Lesson learnt.
