How do I get rid of Win Fixer?

Best turn off system restore when removing any virus or malware, otherwise it might come back again. Switch back on afterwards.

I have tried spy sweeper but it only lasts for around 10minutes then the Win Fixer is back. I tried spy doctor but it only detects and does not remove the Win Fixer.

Does anyone know how I can get it removed permanently? how to prevent from getting it again?

What programs would you recommend purchasing to prevent this in the future.

Thanks everyone.

To turn off Windows XP System Restore
Click Start > Programs > Accessories > Windows Explorer
Right-click My Computer, and then click Properties.
Click the System Restore tab.
Check the "Turn off System Restore" or "Turn off System Restore on all drives" check box.

Glad you fixed it, thanks
for posting back.

Others have reported reported removal success with
Spysweeper, sorry it did not work for you.

At least you had the other problems fixed.

Please start your own post on Security & Virus forum (top left). Always best and this old thread is likely to become read-only quite soon.
