Comment: hi, i recently had to reinstall windows due to a virus/viruses making my computer very slow. i did a scan with avg until all the viruses were gone but it was still slow. i backed up alot of my data onto dvds and cd's (after the virus scans) but before re-adding the files, documents and pictures i would just like to know if it is possible that there could still be viruses in the files and if there is a way to check if files contain viruses.

Reply: (edit)The only way to find out whether any files are infected is by deep scanning the CD from a machine free from virus and other malwares. i_Xp/VistaUser
