Subject: Will deleting file cure my problem ? |
Comment: Nortons Antivirus has picked up a virus(IRC Trojan)in explorer32.exe file and cannot repair it so has been quarantined. Nortons is up todate re downloads and the only option I've got is to delete it. Once I've deleted it, has my problem been solved or am I likely to get further problems ? I've been informed it's some sort of hack virus and I want to feel confident about using the internet.I'm running XP and have internet firewall enabled, isn't this mean't to help?

Reply: (edit)You can try a 30 trial antitrojan program if you think you might have been hit by a hacker attack, or you have downloaded programs/files from one of the sharing sites. TAUSCAN, TROJAN REMOVER, TDS are all available for a 30 day trial. SWATIT from LOCKDOWN CORP is a free one. All the best!
