Wierd sounds while pc is idle

While pc is idle a noise sounds like a bird chirping. I use adaware,spybot,avg and spywareblaster and Zone alarm pro firewall. It is all updated and finds nothing. Any ideas would be very helpful. I am a novice trying to keep a clean enviroment for the kids Thanks in advance for any help. Have a great day.... Brad.
