That are just to many ways to get infected by that verman to determine exactly what the cause is but that is very possible I suppose.

I great spyware preventer that re-write malicious script as it tries to enter your computer, and is free at this link Spywareblaster and it runs in the background, you do not manually run it.

To clean up the bosses computer first run this free online scan with her computer Panda Activescan then run this free thirty day free trial from SpySweeper
Choose download SpySweeper from this line:

Delete Win32/Vundo.522752!Trojan automatically >>> Get PestPatrol or Download SpySweeper at the above link.

Then download, update and run these spyware removal programs

Adaware SE and once you get it updated go back to the link and install the vx2 cleaner and follow the directions to install it the run it. This updated tool will remove most vx2 infections including Look2Me.

Spybot

cwshredder use the stand alone version.

This will not totally clean the computer but will help you get started. If possible a Hijack This log of her computer would help find the infected/malicious files.

Is the icon a shortcut to something? Is it a folder? If it's a shortcut, to what executable does it point? You need to investigate a little bit. An icon on the desktop can be anything at all.....

Im assumeing the icon is a shortcut to a webpage an adult webpage. Im still not going to blame anyone just yet on going to porn sites. I told someone else about this they said strait out that her husband was looking at porn. Well ive had similar issue on my computer.

Usually, if the icon is a shortcut to an internet site, there will be no sexy icon on your desktop other than the infamous blue e. If the icon is anything but the blue e, it is linked to a program on the PC.

I wouldn't assume anything. Look at the icon yourself and see what it is...
