im close to putting a basebat thru my computer screen. i had lots of trouble with viruses so wipe the computer completly, unfortunatly a trojan.downloader i think was in my system restore and this became active again when i did this. i spent ages trying to get rid of them and now i have. and as soon as i got rid of them and reallyu annoying box poped up saying virus detected c:/system_restore_information (or at least sometihng similar to that) my question is how do i delete them from my system restore information.theres about 4-5 of them. thanks :)

if your computer is operating without system errors...here are some steps to rid yourself of this pain as most infections love to hide in system restore..so whenever a user rolls back the restore the infections goes with it.

1. disable system restore.
2. reboot and press f8 before windows splash screen and select safe mode.

3. run your trojan scanner/antivirus to detect and delete the infection.

4. once you are sure u dont have any more infections u can inable system restore again.

this is the quick way to rid infections that are in the system restore volume labels.

u might want to check into nod32 its a damn fine av and trojan scanner if set properly..scan methods are normal for viruses and in-depth scans for trojans/ harmful scripts.

goodluck.

NOD32 "claims" they are the best anti virus software but statistics show that they arent. When they review an Anti Virus product they have to also add how good it is with how easy the interface is.NOD32 is bad with e-mail attachments.A small unknown binder can get viruses past NOD32 they say UnderGround and have examples.NOD32 is bad at bounce messages and it isnt very strong on trojans becuase its more so for viruses like ay other anti virus software.NOD32's advanced heuristics seem to fail alot.
I say go with Mcafee but if you like NOD32 then use it

umm i got with the facts and the independant test labs that conduct testing have no reason to lie in what is best for consumers.. and everyone of them says nod32 is the best and least av to fail.

as for trojans and other mis, scripts, u have to setup nod32 for deep scans advanced heuristics, i been useing nod32 for almost a year and found it to be the most effective product i ever come across in dealing with viruses, the active monitor stops any kind of virus or trojan from sneaking into your computer as i seen. but all this is doesnt mean nothing cause its comeing from my point of view...
best thing is for that person to choose what product they find most effective on their system...as with every decision.. always weight the facts and reviews.. and then choose what product u want for your system.
