Why Doesn’t My New Logitech K120 Keyboard Work?

My old keyboard stopped my ability to type. The new K120, USB plug and play does not allow me to type.

      So the old keyboard doesn’t work and the new keyboard doesn’t work. Maybe it’s not a problem with the keyboard. Maybe it’s some other hardware problem and the system is locking up. Or maybe the keyboard is disabled in device manager. Does either work in safe mode?
