Specs: Windows Vista64bt, intel qcore9300/8gig
had a virus so bad it took out my hard drive and bios/ recovered the hard drive by putting it in my other pc (not opening it) and formatted the drive from there. With a clean HD i was able to get bios up and flashed a fresh version to the asus mobo, loaded my OS and started getting the updates and re-installing my software all is good..right? no ...the propblem is i had to do this with only 1 stick of 2gig memory.. i have 4 slots and a 8 gig capacity on this board but if i put more than one stick in, i cant boot up, the machine freezes and monitor never gets turned on all the slots are recognized in the system check but like i said, it wont boot and i tried all the slots and with different sticks..it still only boots with one installed.... any clues ?

When you put the drive back in your comp, did you remove all the partitions?
