hi,
this pc seems to be a load of trouble! My old system never had sooo many problems...anyway,
I recently got the sbc yahoo dsl service which came with a speedstream 5100 modem and a self-install disc. Since i installed this dsl, i have been getting blue screens all the time....sometimes it will be a few days, sometimes a few hours. I have had various blue screen messages, some indicating bad ram others saying something about bad_pool_caller and a few others. I have never gotten a blue screen until now. I have had some error reports sent to microsoft about th3e video driver which i downloaded a new driver . I have installed windows several times but it doesnt seem to help. I dont know how to go about fixing this....any ideas or help would be great....i guess if all else fails i could break down and call dell....yikes!

i forgot to mention that i also installed an old lexmark z22 printer and old plustek optic-pro 4831p scanner the same time i did the dsl....these are from my old win98 system, but i installed them on the new system...havent used the scanner, just the printer....could that be a source of a problem?

Hi Drfoo
Your scanner doesn't seem to work with XP. Read this: http://www.acecam.com/photography/2533.html
