|There's no need for immunization to be done with any real urgency. Once you get an idea how often SpyBot updates then you can work out when to do it. From what you say about once a week would be fine.|
What immunization does is put kill bits in the registry, so that your computer will not react to anything deemed bad on SpyBot's data base. Unless you've had an update since last time you did it then there will be no new ones so it will not make any difference.
It is not sufficient to just view the Immunize screen. You then have to click the immunize button and you will see the numbers being set to zero (meaning everything new has now been included).
