Subject: What to do with Trojan Horses?
OS: ME
CPU/Ram: AMD/Duron
Comment:

Hello,
I ran a NAV scan and it told me that I had the following trojan horses: Colors.class, Dummy.class, Parser.class (2 of them), Parser [1].class, RunString.class. I put the trojans in Quarantine meanwhile to find out what to do. But the question is, is it safe to delete them from there? Norton warns me from doing it. Or shall I repare the object first before deleting it? Or do it in another way to avoid damage the computer or some programs?
Thanks for your help!

Go to http://www.wilders.org
and download a trojan remover program
Their are a few so make your choice and
once dowmloaded run it and it should remove the trojans..

By the wya, why aren't you running some sort of software firewall program instead just using norton..

Thank you,
I'll take a closer look at it.
I'm having a hardware firewall and the reason I don't have a software firewall is because having them both seemed to be too complicated running the computers smoothly. More barriers than easy surfing.

hello
haveing a hard ware fire wall dose limet the number of open ports but dose nothing to steath your system or stop intrusions. you should have a soft ware fire wall allso.
your computer with out any firewalls at all has 65,000 ports open to the net. a hard ware fire wall leaves only a few would you leave your house unlocked like leaveing the front and back doors open?
i wont!!!
get a soft ware fire wall and dont leave home with out it!
