I found this thing running on my computer last night and it was pushing my CPU usage to 100%. I restarted and this morning it was doing the same thing. The only thing I can think of that installed anything was last night when I plugged my Droid-X in for the first time and it installed a Motorolla driver or something.

Akamai loaded without my knowledge and fired up without me initiating any process. I want nothing to do with P2P and would never have loaded it if had been given a choice. I have no idea what loaded it but will be clearing from the disk and registry so am sure something will break which will tell me who was the bad actor that loaded. It may not be a bad actor but ANYTHING that has to sneak onto my machine in this manner is NOT good.

It did not _sneak_ in your computer. If you had read the install agreement when you updated your Adobe Flashplayer, the akamai downloader woudn't be any surprice to you.

And one other thing, if you want nothing to do with p2p downloading, just stop using your computer. There's no other way 'couse most program updates use p2p protocol, sutch as virus detecter, flash player, pdf wiever, etc, etc...
