Comment: Everytime I turn on the computer, it displays a message that a virtual trunk program (vtrunk.exe) cannot be found. I have a vague idea of what a virtual trunk is but I have no idea (nor do the Dell TS "experts") what program uses this file. My computer works fine though.

Reply: (edit)Did this problem just start? Was there a program that you uninstalled? Have you scanned for a virus/trojan/worm? Any strange program requests by your firewall? If it recently started, have you tried using "system restore" to fix it? You get to "system restore" by using start>programs>accessories>system tools>system restore and select a restore poiint prior to when your problem started.

Reply: (edit)Download the free: Process Explorer for Windows NT/2000/9x/XP www.sysinternals.com and you should be able to trace its origin and then you can start thinking of UNINSTALLING and DELETING programs. Also, WINDOWS has a DIAGNOSTIC START mode that can be helpful, whereby you could, one by one, start a program until the culprit appears.
