Solved What is ArcSoft Connect Daemon?

Specs: Windows Vista
When I turned on my computer today McAfee's pop up box listed "ArcSoft Connect Daemon" and whether or not I want to Allow it or Block it. For now I've blocked it not knowing what it is. This past week I installed three new programs for my young son, Fisher-Price Digital Arts & Crafts Studio, LeapFrog Leapster Explorer, and LeapFrog Tag Reading System. Not sure if any of these are associated with ArcSoft Connect Daemon because when I looked up ArcSoft Connect under the Program Files, I couldn't find any identifying sub-tab it would be associated with like the three new programs I just installed. Also this week Firefox (which I use) said it's Plugin crashed, does that have something to do with ArcSoft. I didn't even know I was using a plugin at the time. Seems like this ArcSoft wants to update whatever it is on my computer, so I'm skeptical. Should I keep it or uninstall it. Not sure what to do.

Thanks cyberspace for your help!!!!

✔ Best Answer
Informational page about this non essential program.
Hope this Helps.

Mcaffee asks if you want to block this file because it is technically an unessential file.

this is the other possibility for this
