What have these virus' done?

OK, here's the script. I had a few virus', trojans etc a month ago. I got rid of them and now no virus' are detected when i scan. I was wondering if i could find out what damage they did to my pc? How can i make sure my pc is ok? I wouldn't be suspect, my pc is running ok generally, but online it's a different matter. I have to click a link a number of times before the page opens and most images on the page don't open, any ideas please? Thanks.

Summary: OK I'm an idiot. I found out why my games were slowing down. I must have changed my vid card settings around the same time that I installed kazaa, I reset the settings. But I'm still having problems.....
