I have got a netgear wireless router DG834G and have this computer set up on wireless internet. I now want to use another computer with the same router but I do not know what my wep code is. I am sure I need to connect with the cable, but do not know what else to do. Please help.

did you save the wep code in a text file on your PC?
When I made my code, I put the code on text and saved it.
Now all I do is a search for wep and it comes up

Type 192.168.1.1 into your web browser, and that should get you into the router. If you didn't set a password, then you should have no problem getting in. But if you did set a password and you forgot it, you probably could just reset the router. Turn it off, and unplug it. Then hold the reset button for atleast ten seconds.

Now, if you're trying to hack into it, (for personal security reasons) then you need to get another computer running Linux to capture the packets.

I didn't save the code anywhere. I suppose i can reset the router, but I'm worried I won't know how to get it going again. I don't have the instructions.

have you tried to reset the router it may help. i had similar problem on my adsl modem and after reseting WEP password cleared
