I've done everything that it said to remove the W32.Welchia.B.Worm by restarting in Safe mode and running Systemantec and also the Welchia removal program but it says no virus is found, then when I go back in regular mode, it catches a virus and can't clearn or quarantne it. Help please

You say that you have done everything to remove the worm. You did not mention turning off "system restore" and then restarting your computer entering the "safe mode" to delete the worm. Restart the computer again and use your antivirus scan to ensure the worm is removed. After the system is clean, you can turn "system restore" back on. You turn "system restore" off by selecting properties>my computer>system restore.

sorry for not previously mentioning that, but yes, I did turn off the "system restore" and turned it on safe mode, ran the antivirus and the welch removal tool, found no viruses, went back on regular mode and tried to check again and no viruses. Then after using the internet for a while, I would get the same message of Welchia B being found and not able to be quaranined or fixed. My tool bar also freezes and I would have to force a shut down since my computer would crash.

You must go into your virus protection folder and delete anything being held in quarantine. Then turn off system and run the removal tool and then There is one thing you must do that is not listed in the removal directions. Do the following in Safe Mode:

(It seems long but you just have to open many folders to get to the one with the virus still in it.)Here goes: right click on start button and click on "explore", double click on the "c drive", double click on "windows", double click on "system 32, double click on "config", double click on "system profile", double click on "local settings" (if you don't see it, click on "tools", select "folder options", select "view", and click in the box that says to show all hidden folders), double click on "temp internet files", double click on "content.IE5". You will see 4 folders. You must open each of these folders and delete any file called "wkspatch". Then empty your trash and restart your computer.

go yahoo and type the following:
win32. exe blaster removal.
By the way, this is not a virus, thats why your anti virus cant delete it. This is a blaster worm. bear that in mind, ur A/virus is working but it is not programmed to pick up worm blasters.

I dont know much about computers (PRO, NOT SEMI PRO) i had the same problem with this virus, computer wont shut down or restart.

if it doesnt help..like i said, PRO
Goodluck and best wishes cause i know how P''''' i was when i got it.

please tell as the outcome.

-Dont be hating cause of my name, we are not all terrorists
