can someone help with weird virus problem? i recently visited a website for a gaming macro my friend uses called epic bot and then again later, but the second time the website would not load, after having checked the macro's facebook page i learned that its creators had angered the anonymous group and that anon had made a threat video stating the upcoming ddos attacks they had planned against the website. i thought it was a hoax but as i found the website only half worked sometimes and got a 500 internal server error the rest of the time i started to believe it. so i poked around a few Google searches on the group responsible.

anyways later on i was playing my game and on skype then suddenly my browser closed and skype closed. i opened them back up thinking it was nothing and they closed again as if someone was controlling my laptop, then 2 firefox windows tried to open on their own so i closed them, then another one opened and immediately showed a very loud screaming demonic face flashing on my screen. it terrified me so i tried to mute the speakers which didnt work so i quickly closed my laptop. im very careful being a hardware tech so i never have strange processes running and i always have active anti virus protection, ive been back on the laptop for an hour and it hasnt happened again but im very concerned, any ideas?

Apparently less careful then you thought. I would say clear your cookies and temp folder, and then run malwarebytes. Feel free to run Avast as well, but i would disable the antivirus on your system temporarily while you run both.I would also be carefull in the future downloading from less than reputable sites, even for the coolest bot for a game.

ya its weird the bot was safe but there website could have been compromised, whoever did it was watching through my webcam when it happened, i think it was some bogus java script or something on one of the websites i visited. but thank you very much everything seems to be fine after having run malwarebytes spybot and avast.
