I have a small white box on the top left cornerof my desktop and a weird icon on the taskbar. It can't be close but will disappear when restarted. This doesn't happen all the time. Now it shows a complete window. In file option It gives me the option to exit. It show the same icon on the taskbar. I have check with Norton & Ad-Aware and shows to be clean. I did check running processes before and after and it shows only one process that ended when window was exited. It shows "wuauclt.exe". Goolged and it says "Wuauclt.exe is the AutoUpdate Client of Windows Update and is used to check for available updates (for the various versions of the MS Windows platform) from Microsoft Update. The wuauclt.exe file is included in the Task Manager’s list of active processes when it is waiting for a response or an action to be performed by the user." Thanks Tufenuf, thanks for the link. Checked the systems log/event viewer and didn't show the "ATi Catalyst Control Center" in it. Going to check when it happens again. Again, many thanks to you Tufennuf.
