Comment: Anyone familiar with a program called "Freeze"? Google searches only tell me where to GET it. I'm more interested in how to get RID of it! Is it malicious? It does not show up in my "Add/Remove Programs". Will not "Delete". Entering "Safe Mode" makes it vanish, temporalily. _________________________ Embrace paranoia, they ARE out to get you!

Reply: (edit)It's Gone! Go into the registry and search "Freeze" Delete all the entries (about 15). Exit Registry Editor and search "All folders & files" for Freeze, Delete them all. That's it, you should be clean! _________________________ Embrace paranoia, they ARE out to get you!

Reply: (edit)Did you Google it? Looks like screen saver software. Unless, of course, you're referring to Deep Freeze. Life's more painless for the brainless.

Reply: (edit)Hi Jenn, Nah it's the "Free ScreenSaver" thing, read up on it. VERY heavy handed piece of AdWare, apparently adds itself to the AdAware & SpyBot Exclude lists. That is actually how I discovered it, by reading an AdAware "log file" _________________________ Embrace paranoia, they ARE out to get you!
