Ever since a couple of days ago, whenever McAfee performs an update something weird happens. When's it's installing the update, whether I'm online or not at that time, a IE window promps me, by saying something like," an ActiveX script that is safe for scripting is about to be performed. Yes or No". When I press "No", another window comes up, saying that an ActiveX script that was not marked "Safe for Scripting" was blocked, and then I get a couple of errors, saying that there is an error on the page, and do you want to keep running the scripts on it. I didn't even have an IE up at those times! The McAfee update also never installs, if I press no to the ActiveX prompt. If I press Yes, however, the McAfee update installs without a problem.

Is this something wrong?

mcafee uses activeX to update, you must say yes. if the update is running, you are online whether you realize it or not.

Heh, yes, I must be online while it's downloading, but when the ActiveX script pops up, it's installing what it just downloaded. I disconnect after the prompt, because I fear that McAfee might interfear with what I was doing online. If I choose yes, when I'm disconnected, it still upgrades, since I was online when it was downloading the actual update.

Thanks :)
