posted this in gen hardware then thought about it and realized this belonged under security since webcams are typically used this way for security purposes but not before someone posted with a pat on the back and a free phsycology exam is it just me because several friends said this is a good idea and ive seen baby monitors with video everywhere so i dont see why i shouldnt use existant hardware.... anyhow enough ranting heres the post would like to set up my old laptop with a usb cammera and a microphone so i can see the baby in the other room or from at work(my wife would be home)... i know you can video conferance with net meeting but it has to accept the call is there any software out there where i can set up the firewall to imediatly forward to my laptop and start a two way conferance or monitor... im going through daughter withdrawls at work..... thanks

Hi drake, If it helps, you might wanna look for software which automates this process, obviously you'll grant that particular software access via your firewall for it to work.
