Now of course I know not to submit this! I called Paypal and asked if they knew what it was and he had no clue. The URL is identical to the URL when I log into another computer that takes me right to my pp account.I have avg and run spysweeper, ad-aware, spybot often (I have a teenager.. need I say more?). Spysweeper did find the following which was removed but I still have the problem with my pp account:
Profile - Trojan-Phisher-Sinowal
Name Trojan-Phisher-Sinowal
Unique Code R7XUWU52
Type Trojan Phisher
Severity CriticalIt stopped a websearch toolbar and rogue security products (not sure what that is, they were temp files and deleted).
After all that though, like I said I still have the paypal thing happening.
If I reformat the computer will that help? Before I do that, I need to somehow save/move my email to the computer upstairs but it has outlook 2003 and this one has 2000 ... thats another post I think lol!
Thanks if anyone can offer any help at all. Ive been working on this for days not. Oh, I tried to restore the computer to a previous date but it only offered the day this happened as the latest one to restore to.

Is the other computer that works properly on your network? If it is, then your DNS entries were poisoned somewhere along the line, hijacking the connection.

... interesting:

Grrrr
wat do I know?
... got brain freeze

Are you sure you're actually logged into PayPal? Does the lock on the browser indicate a Secure Connection?
What browser are you using? Have you tried another Browser? Firefox 3 will actually confirm for you that you're on Paypal's secure site. Have you tried flushing DNS?
Life's more painless for the brainless.

You got a phishing attack...
First...go to a different computer, log into Paypal and I expect you will NOT see this stuff...
Change your Paypal password...Make it difficult, upper and lower case, numbers, characters...at least 8 digits long...not sure what the Maximum password length Paypal allowes but mine is 11 characters long...Now, download Kaspersky antivirus...there is a free version you can use for one month...
Do a full scan and see what you get off...Good luck
