Hello
My Pc was recently severely attacked and ive had to format my disk. now that i am reinstalling windows , i want to have some good softwares to stay protected ( Freewares please ).
I was previously running Avg Antivirus and Avg antispywares , + Sygate firewall
I am planning to use Avast this time . I would like to have some user comments on the softwares ( antivirus , antispywares and firewall) that you people think are the best.

I suggest the AVG paid version it finds more than the free. Free version only finds viruses. The paid verion finds Viruses,Trojans,Adware,Spyware,Rootkits the free may find some trojans but your better off with the paid version. Ive heard alot about Avast and have tried it. I still prefer AVG.
Keyboard not detected. Hit F1 to Continue. BREAKFAST.SYS HALTED Cerial port not Responding!!

Avast Free Comodo free firewall winpatrol spyware Blaster Ccleaner These are all found listed on one page in the link provided. What I do is set Ccleaner to run at startup so all the junk is removed before you surf.
My PC runs great. IMO Avast is much better than AVG....no scheduled scans and Real-time protection....no muss no fuss.
