w32/Gaobot.worm.gen.u virus

Specs: Microsoft Windows Vista Home Basic, 2.003 GHz / 766 MB
Hi looked at the forum and tried some things to get rid of this pain in the neck but too no avail, my problem is i run mozilla firefox and every so often my internet explorer opens up on it's own not once but twice at a time, sometimes when it crashes i get a popup saying ive got an W32/Gaobot.worm.gen.u virus, ive run the FxGaobotUJ tool in safe mode it it brought back i havent got a Gaobot on my system, so why is internet explorer keep opening up all the time ?

Try Unhackme
and use the beginners guide on the left of their page. Run through all the scans untill your PC is clean. Unhackme has lots of information, check out everything it finds to see if it's safe to remove.

If in doubt, GOOGLE the result and see if that will tell you if it's safe to remove. DON'T remove anything you don't understand.

When your PC is clean you can uninstall unhackme so it doesn't scan everytime you reboot.
