Comment:

I've been infected with Vundo.b.

My windows updates and anti-virus programs were current when the infection occurred.

I've tried upgrading to Norton 360 version 2 but it wouldn't install. Norton customer service wanted an extra $100.00 to get rid of Vundo, but they could not guarantee that their solution would work.

I've tried VundoFix and VirtumundoBeGone,SpywareBot.

Any suggestions?

Apparently, there is already an existing thread about that virus. Posts 20, 29 and 32 are the most informative. Most of the other posts confirm the worthlessness of the Norton removal tool.
